Notes on Gallery
This gallery features photographs shot between 2017 and 2020 with my 24-70 mm zoom lens, in Toronto, and on trips within Ontario and to Quebec, Florida and Alberta. There are also some earlier photographs, from 2007 to 2010.
Some of my favourites are 1. Octopus, 8. The Fly, and 19. Giant Duck at Harbourfront for their quirkiness, and 3. Standing Nude and 21. Remain in Light for their simplicity. I used Nik's Silver Efex Pro 2 software to convert many of these images to black and white.
As I was assembling the first version of this gallery in October 2017, Gord Downie of the Tragically Hip died and I spent some time listening (again) to both his and the Hip’s music. “That’s when the hornet stung me and I had a feverish dream.”
