Cameras

The photographs on this website were taken with a Canon EOS R digital mirrorless camera or a Canon Rebel XT, XSi, T3i or T6s digital single lens reflex camera, using a Canon 35 mm, 50 mm, 85 mm, 17-40 mm, 24-70 mm, or 70-200 mm lens.

As exceptions, some older photographs were taken with a Canon Powershot A80 or a Canon Powershot A620.

Image Conversion and Manipulation

Most recent photographs on this website were shot in RAW format, converted from RAW in Adobe Camera RAW, and then further adjusted in Adobe Photoshop. Most were adjusted during RAW conversion or in Photoshop to lighten, darken or sharpen them.

Older photographs were converted from RAW with Canon Digital Photo Professional or Pixmantec’s Rawshooter. The oldest photographs were shot in JPEG and manipulated with Google’s Picasa.

Black and white images were desaturated within Photoshop or converted using dedicated conversion software (Nik Silver Efex Pro and, previously, Topaz BW Effects or B/W Styler).
